What is Single Handed Care?

Single-Handed Care (SHC) is an approach that places you at the centre of the moving and handling assessment, ensuring you receive the right size care and support in your home and;is proportionate to your needs. It aims is uphold your dignity and promote your wellbeing. Traditionally double handed care has been the first approach, with advances in the equipment available we can explore safe and effective moving and handling techniques to implement SHC.
